Xiaomi smartphone users and owners have just received a good news that they are being updated with the latest MIUI 9.5 Global stable build OS, the update brings several new features, optimizations, and bug fixes to the successor to Redmi Note 4. Mi Note 3 and Mi Max smartphones also got the latest update, it is time for the latest Redmi Note 5 to get its share.
Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi in February 2018 launched the Redmi Note 5 – an apt successor to the Redmi Note 4, packing it with running Android 7.0 Nougat-based MIUI 9. They called it Redmi 5 Plus in China, the smartphone replaced one of the most popular handsets in India, the Redmi Note 4 which was one of the best-selling smartphones last year and is priced at Rs. 9,999 for the 3GB RAM and Rs. 11,999 for 4GB RAM variant. The affordable pricing and high-specs of the Redmi Note 5 smartphone make it a perfect choice for the buyers and those who already have the phone can rejoice over the arrival of MIUI 9.5 stable OS update, which is based on Android Nougat.
Interestingly, the Redmi Note 5 has directly received a wider rollout while there was a very limited rollout of a nightly build of MIUI 9.5 to Redmi Note 4 users. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is a part of the MIUI 9.5 second batch rollout. Other smartphones, including Redmi Note 5A series, Mi Max 2, Mi 5, Redmi 4X, Mi 6, Mi MIX 2, Mi MIX, Mi Note 3, Redmi Note 2, Redmi 3, Redmi 4 and other older models will get the new software by the end of April.

The update will roll out in the next few days, to the smartphone via OTA. Alternatively, Redmi Note 5 users can check for updates by going into Settings > About phone > System updates.
